It was an amazing evening meeting an actress who has played the lead role of Elphaba in the West End Musical production of WICKED!
We were so excited to welcome actress Kate Leiper, who has been in the Wicked cast at the Apollo Victoria Theatre since 2023, to The Abbey.
Kate has starred in ‘We Will Rock You’ (Cover Killer Queen/Meat), Jersey Boys (Lorraine) and Evita, as well as being cover for Elphaba and Nessa in Wicked.
Kate shared her career journey to the West End, as well as revealing what’s it’s actually like to play one of the most popular lead roles of Elphaba. Having an insight into ‘a day in the life of Elphaba’ was absolutely brilliant and her advice to aspiring drama stars imvaluable.
